I would like to thank you for the summer school that Jasper attended. He has really thrived on what he has learnt over the 4 days. I also really appreciate the advice you gave me about which study guides to use when I spoke to you in July.
I think your class had a big part in Neha passing the 11 plus with such a good rank. I have already recommended you to many of my friends and my other two daughters will definitely be coming to your classes.
Commitment & Dedication
I found the study write tuition excellent. Myself and Alexandra both found the first few weeks a little bit of a shock, as hard work, commitment and dedication is needed in abundance. Once we settled into a routine it got easier for us both, it’s not just 2 hours on a Saturday morning, it’s at least a further 2 hours during the week.
Mr Harper was kind and inspiring and encouraged Alexandra massively she enjoyed her lessons with him and his mum was also very kind and helpful.
Alexandra flourished in school also after only a few months of tuition and was always coming home with a spring in her step when she was coming top of the class in maths and English tests. The tuition gave her a real boost to her confidence. We constantly reassured Alexandra and told her that no matter what the outcome of her years tuition was, that it was a bonus to her learning. We were kept well informed by your emails, the holiday packs were great extras too.
Alexandra sat all 3 pre tests, which we found invaluable, it gave us as parents an idea of how she was doing but also they became second nature to Alexandra. On the day of the actual test Alexandra was calm and confident. Alexandra passed the exam and is guaranteed a place at north Halifax grammar, we are extremely grateful for the fantastic professional tuition she was given and would recommend you highly.
Thank you very much
Our daughter came to sit the two mock exams that were offered. They
proved invaluable in terms of exam prep as the only tutoring she had was a
few books at home with me. Her current ranking is 324.
I just wanted to say thank you for the last 12 months tutoring Jack towards the 11+ exam. Jack enjoyed all the sessions and relished all the challenges. Whether Jack gets a place or not at the grammar school we feel he’s more than ready to tackle the next journey of his eduction which we feel is down to Study Write. Thanks again.
The 11+ is a daunting test for a child so young and the pressure to do well can be overbearing. Wanting the best for our daughter we enrolled her within the Study-Write programme to ensure she had the right level of preparation to do well in the test. Although the result is obviously important, as parents we tried to deflect the pressure by encouraging and rewarding the level of effort our daughter put into it.
This is where the approach taken in the Study-Write fitted perfectly – it is hard work over a continued period of time and to start with it was a challenge, but the preparation that the programme provided our daughter with was priceless. The programme is structured and challenging yet is executed in a friendly and encouraging manner to get the most out of the children. The tips and tricks in preparation were excellent such taking preparation tests in a different place every time so that the children get used to taking tests in unfamiliar surroundings.
Our daughter’s hard work was rewarded with an excellent result and the flexibility to choose which secondary school she went to. A huge thanks therefore goes to Vicky Queenan who provided the dedication, meticulous planning and patience in helping to get our daughter to achieve the results she did. We are now putting our son through the same process and even at this stage Vicky has been giving him advice.
Thank you for teaching me
The exam went well. It was not that hard as I expected and I think I did good.
The English writing task was to write a story about ‘Someone you like or dislike ‘ or an Opening about ‘the future ‘.
Thank you for teaching me.
Thank you for all of your guidance
Well, it’s finally over!
Olivia said the English and comprehension felt easier than the mock and the VR was fine (she finished both on time).
She said the maths was fine although she had to guess the last half a dozen questions as she ran out of time. She said she overheard lots of kids saying they had only done half the maths paper so that reassured her a bit!
Nothing left to do now other than keep our fingers crossed!
Thanks to you and the Study Write team for all of your guidance over the last 12 months. Whatever the outcome, I don’t think she could have been better prepared.
I’m forever grateful
Your email had brought tears to my eyes. I’ve really seen my son develop so much and I honestly can’t Thankyou enough for working with him.
I’m still so proud of him. I remember those study sessions where he use to sit with me and it was so hard for him to understand. But now when’s he’s working I’m sitting there is total admiration cos he works things out way quicker than I can.
No matter what happens I’m forever grateful to each and every one of you for teaching my boy.
Pleased with myself
I thought it all went well. I am pleased with myself and I think I have done the best that I can do.
Thank you for teaching me.
Cool as a cucumber
Thank you for the help that you gave Alice this week with the diary – the feedback was really useful.
Alice was beaming when she came out. I felt really happy for her as she was well prepared and has worked really hard this last year .
She was as cool as a cucumber this morning and I really felt that was down to, firstly, her enviably calm and composed nature, but secondly, the thorough planning you provided to ensure that she had everything covered for the day.
Thank you again for everything.
